What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 16.30pm. Closed Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Do you deliver?

Yes, we can deliver to a wide area and can supply deliveries as early as 8.00am.

Delivery into London and the Home Counties is made using our own transport (7.5 ton curtain-sided lorries equipped with a tail-lift for ease of off-loading).

It is very important to be on-hand to assist with unloading as deliveries are to kerb-side only, although we will try wherever possible to get your items to where you need them.

For smaller or more delicate items it is possible to arrange for deliveries on CC trolleys, but these will need to be unloaded on site and returned with the lorry.

For larger orders, we are able to arrange for 18 ton and articulated lorries, and even hiab lorries or craned vehicles for the handling of trees and 'special' items.

We will include an estimated cost of delivery when quoting for your order, or please call for prices.

Do you sell to the public?

No we don't! We are very definitely trade only.

In order to access our online price lists, or to be given prices over the phone you will need to have registered your business with us as a trade customer.

When calling for prices, please have your 6 character Customer Code ready.

Do you take cheques?

We no longer take cheques at our Cash & Carry, but we do accept all types of cards, except from American Express. We also take payment over the phone and through the bacs payment system.

Unfortunately we don’t accept Garden Vouchers and cannot exchange them for cash.

We have started to accept the use of Barclays pingit, a quick and easy way to pay via your smart phone or tablet.
For further information please download the help sheet below.

Can I send my customer on my behalf?

We are strictly trade only. We are NOT a retail site and we cannot allow your customers to come onto our nursery as we like to protect our customers interests.

We cannot have members of the public walking around due to health and safety risks.

Where is your nursery?

Our nursery is located in Letty Green, Hertford. The post code is SG14 2PB. If you are travelling to us in a lorry or tall truck, please have a look at the Contact page where you will find a map with low bridges highlighted, and a printable map that you can download.

Please also be aware that lorries heading to the nursery from Hertford should ignore Sat Nav directions for shortest or quickest route, as this information is INCORRECT.

Routes for lorries DO NOT exist through the villages of Birch Green, Staines Green or Eastend Green.

The ONLY access for lorries to the nursery is via the B158.

When does your bareroot stock come in?

Our bareroot stock comes in to us at the end of November once the leaves have fallen off the trees and the plants become dormant. We will continue to receive stock up until the first week of March when the weather starts to brighten up or when they start coming into leaf.

How long can a bareroot item last in it's bag?

Ideally you should plant your bareroot as soon as you have bought it, although we know that sometimes this is not always possible. IF you do have to keep your plants in their bag then we suggest keeping it in a cool place with damp roots. Don’t let the air get to the roots as they will dry out very quickly.

Do you deliver turf?

We can arrange for turf to be delivered direct from our supplier with the minimum order for direct delivery being two pallets (180 rolls).

If your job isn’t that big then you can collect turf at our nursery. All we need is two days notice and we can have it ready for you. Turf is delivered in to us at around 8:00am daily.
