Details:

Large fountain shaped, multi stemmed, deciduous shrub. Native to China this is a unique plant with year round interest. Long bloom season in late summer to early autumn. The blooms appear in spirals, with each spiral containing 7 small flowers.

Large heart shaped leaves are shiny green and deeply veined. In winter the strips of pale bark peel away to reveal dark brown inner bark.

Aspect:

Full sun or light shade, this plant is best grown in average, medium moisture, well drained soils.
