Team Leader - Horticulture
Team Leader – Horticulture
Do you have the passion and leadership to help plants – and people – thrive?
We’re looking for a Team Leader to take an active role in shaping the daily life of our busy production nursery. This is a hands-on opportunity to combine your horticultural expertise with the chance to inspire and guide a team, ensuring our crops are grown to the highest standards and our customers receive plants of outstanding quality.
In this role you will:
- Lead and motivate your team across a variety of nursery tasks – from feeding and maintenance through to picking, packing and despatch.
- Keep a close eye on crop health, spotting pests, diseases, or irrigation needs before they become problems.
- Work alongside managers to plan production areas and keep operations running smoothly.
- Champion safe working practices, ensuring compliance with OHAS standards and nursery protocols.
- Take pride in upholding plant health and biosecurity measures that protect our stock and reputation.
- Support colleagues to develop their skills, while fostering a culture of quality and care.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven supervisory or leadership experience (horticultural experience is a big plus!)
- Brings strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Is motivated, approachable, and able to nurture both plants and people.
- Shares our commitment to quality, safety, plant health, and excellent customer service.
This is more than just a leadership role – it’s the opportunity to guide a dedicated team, grow your own skills, and play a central part in the smooth running of a nursery that thrives on collaboration, high standards, plant health, and international trade.
£30,000 to £34,000 depending on experience
